Taranaki is a region in New Zealand located in the Northern Island. This is location of Civil Quarries a construction a civil works company who owns two quarries in and around the region.

It is in these quarries where Civil Quarries have introduced a number of Vei loader scales sold and supported in New Zealand by Loadsense.

Civil Quarries decided to proceed with using the ipotweb.com the Vei cloud where all loading movements end up for remote analysis. There is poor Cellular (GPRS) and Wifi signals at one of their main quarry therefore a radio communication (RF) had to be put in place using Loadsense expertise to facilitate data flow between, KIOSK, loaders and the iPOTWEB. At their second quarry there is Cellular coverage thus their are Trackweigh modems with network SIMs installed in the loaders at this site to facilitate the transfer of data to the iPOTWEB.

Now Civil Quarries loading sites are completely digital. At each site, what to load and whom to load are sent from the office to the loaders using the Job Order feature in the ipotweb.com cloud, leaving the loaders’ drivers free to concentrate on efficient production without the loss of time in understanding the loading data sitting with the truck driver.

Once loaded, the truck load is deleted and sent automatically to the ipotweb.com cloud which makes it available everywhere an internet connection is available.

To streamline Civil Quarries even further, they have accepted a Vei and Loadsense proposal to install a truck loading control solution in and out the site.

The Vei entry and exit Kiosks are installed at the entry and exit of the loading site with a barrier arm system controlled by the Kiosk’s managing the truck entry and exit movements. The truck driver identifies himself at the entry Kiosk and his load requirement is sent directly to the loaders scales on site where the loader drivers can select the truck registration plate and begin loading the selected truck. At the end of loading process, the weight and date information are sent to the Exit Kiosk where the truck driver receives his delivery docket and leaves the site.
